Download of aarogyasetu app crosses five crores

New Delhi: The mobile app developed by the government to track Kovid-19 victims has crossed the five crore mark.  Amitabh Kant, CEO of Justice Aayog, tweeted on Wednesday that Healthcare is the fastest growing app in 13 days with over five crore downloads.


 "It took 75 years for the telephone to reach five billion people, the radio reached 38 years, television reached 13 years, the Internet took 4 years, Facebook 19 months and Pokമോmon Go 19 days.

 WhatsApp, developed by India for its anti-Kovid 19 campaign, has become the most visited app in the world in less than 5 million downloads in just 13 days.  Amitabh Kant tweeted.

 Addressing the nation on April 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanded that everyone download the health-care app.  The WhatsApp was developed jointly by the Justice Department and the Department of Electronics and IT under the supervision of a committee appointed by the Prime Minister's Office.  Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Group have started work on further development of Apple.


 The health service was developed with the aim of raising awareness for coronavirus and for individuals to check for symptoms.  The mobile app in 11 languages ​​is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.  The Government of India is assured that the privacy of the user will not be compromised by WhatsApp.
