NEW DELHI: The Jan Aushadhi mobile mobile app has been a great help to the public during Lockdown. The app also helps to locate the nearest Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi centers and know about the availability of generic medicines at affordable prices.
More than 325000 people have benefited from this app. The application was developed by the Bureau of Pharmacy, a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in order to make the lives of people more accessible and the benefits of digital technology more accessible to the masses.
The design of the app was conceived as a digital platform to find the nearest Gen Pharmaceutical Center, guided by Google Maps, the availability of generic medicines, and the quality difference between branded medicines and their home.
This mobile app is available on both Android and I-phone platforms. It can be downloaded for free on Google Play Store and Apple Store.

ഇതുവരെ 325000-ലധികം പേരാണ് ഈ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്റെ സേവനം പ്രയോജപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. പ്രധാന്‍ മന്ത്രി ഭാരതീയ ജസഹായക ഔഷധി പരിയോജന (പി.എം.ബി.ജെ.പി)യുടെ ഗുണഫലങ്ങള്‍ ജനങ്ങളിലെത്തിക്കുന്നതിനും ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയിലൂടെ ജനജീവിതം കൂടുതല്‍ അനായാസമാക്കുന്നതിനുമാണ് കേന്ദ്ര രാസവസ്തു, രാസവളം മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന് കീഴിലുള്ള പൊതുമേഖല സ്ഥാപനമായ ബ്യൂറോ ഓഫ് ഫാര്‍മ ഈ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ വികസിപ്പിച്ചത്.
ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തുള്ള ജന്‍ ഔഷധി കേന്ദ്രം കണ്ടെത്തുക, അവിടേക്ക് ഗൂഗിള്‍ മാപ്പിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ വഴികാട്ടുക, ജനറിക് മരുന്നുകളുടെ ലഭ്യത, ബ്രാന്‍ഡഡ് മരുന്നുകളും അവയും തമ്മിലുള്ള ഗുണ-വിലവ്യത്യാസം തുടങ്ങിയവ വീട്ടിലിരുന്നുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ മനസിലാക്കാനുള്ള ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോം എന്ന ആശയമാണ് ഈ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്റെ രൂപകല്‍പ്പനയിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചത്.
ആന്‍ഡ്രോയിഡ്, ഐ-ഫോണ്‍ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകളില്‍ ഈ മൊബൈല്‍ ആപ്പ് ലഭ്യമാണ്. ഗൂഗിള്‍ പ്ലേ സ്റ്റോറിലും ആപ്പിള്‍ സ്റ്റോറിലും ഇത് സൗജന്യമായി ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയും.
കൊറോണക്കെതിരായ പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ പി.എം.ബി.ജെ.പി പോലുള്ള ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ പദ്ധതികളിലൂടെ 900 ലധികം ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള ജനറിക്-മെഡിസിനുകളും 154 ശസ്ത്രക്രിയാ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും മിതമായ നിരക്കില്‍ ലഭ്യമാക്കി ആരോഗ്യസംരക്ഷണരംഗത്ത് വിപ്ലവം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയാണ് ഇന്ത്യ. രാജ്യത്ത് 726 ജില്ലകളിലായി നിലവില്‍ 6300 ലധികം ജന്‍ ഔഷധി കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളാണ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്.
